Kid Friendly attraction News in Delhi – Delhi Zoo
There is a recent news about “Baby Boom in Delhi Zoo”. It’s boom time at the city’s National Zoological Park, Delhi.
The zoo is teeming with baby animals, starting with the male cub that was born to the rhino couple of Ayodhya and Maheswari in November. The endangered Shanghai deer, whose count of new progeny has just reached the two-figure mark, is closely followed by the barking deer and the hog deer.
Three lakes at the zoo are alive with the chirping of nestlings of painted storks. These storks come to the zoo from the neighbouring states of Uttar Pradesh and Haryana. The foreign migratory birds do not breed here.
There is also a news regarding birth of 2 white tiger cubs in Zoo on January 12th. This good news has come after 5 years.The zoo already has seven white tigers of which two are males and the rest females.
Also a number of births have been reported. There’s a great horned owlet; black buck swamp deer, spotted deer, and sambar fawns have been born; and there are many pelican chicks too. There are two emus and a barn owl have laid eggs too.
So in all there are good news for children as well as visitors.
